I have prepared all summer long with Alexander Zaitsev. I will representing Poland and will be going to two junior grand prix events this skating season with Alexander: 1) JGP Austria in September 2010 and 2) JGP Czech Republic in October 2010.
February 2010- Opole, Poland
I went to the Polish Nationals in Opole, Poland. I competed
at the Junior level. I got second place. I was very excited. I am the Polish
Junior Ladies Silver medalist. I got to see all my friends that I met from
the Warsaw Cup as few months earlier. Since, I got second, I will be assigned to a
Junior Grand Prix (JGP) event. I can’t wait to see which event(s) I will go to.
November 2009- Warsaw, Poland
I represent Poland now! I went to the Cup of Warsaw in
Poland. This was an international competition. I competed at the Novice
level. I placed 10th. It was a great experience. I met so many new
people. I got many new friends. I got
to see my Grandma and Grandpa.
Summer 2008 - Colorado Springs
My summer was unbelievable!
My summer was awesome because Alexander Zaitsev (two time Olympic Champion and six time World Champion !) came to give me and a lot of other people lessons. It was incredible to work with him for more than just a few days. I learnt so much and it was great. He will be coming again soon! I got my triple salchou and triple toe- loop working with him! They still aren't consistent though. I’ve been working hard and my hard work paid off for this summer. With the help of Alexander, I improved a lot! I met a lot of new friends that came to train or came for the Broadmoor Open! I went to our neighborhood pool a lot and did the usual summer fun stuff! I didn’t go anywhere but people came to me so, it’s the same I guess! I hope your summer was fun too!
April 2008 - Colorado
I moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado in Sept 2007. My new coach is Ryan Jahnke, former US and international competitor. I am now training at the World Arena’s Ice hall and am a member of the Broadmoor skating club. I train with highly recommended coaches of the USA and see Cathy Casey there too. I see Rachel Flatt, the US silver medalist, and Jeremy Abbot, and Ryan Bradley. There are so many skaters at my rink that are at the intermediate level and above. I am 11 and go to Pinon Valley Elementary school. I get to walk to school every day and have lots of friends. I am working on my triple salchow and triple flip. I got first at the Fort Collins classic competition in the ladies final round and came second in the qualifying round. I came 3rd in my intermediate ladies short program! I am really excited to be back on track after my knee and back injury.
June 2007 - Colorado Springs, Colorado
I got to skate at the World Arena in Colorado Springs. My skating was good and bad. It was bad because it took me a few days to adjust to the altitude before I managed to do my program well on the ice. It was good because I skated at the World arena where many famous competitions are held each year. I managed to skate in the World Arena rink, the NHL rink, and the Olympic arena while we were there. I had a great time. It was also good because I had a few lessons with Irena Vorobieva (1981 World Pairs Champion). It was amazing having my lessons with her on the intermediate/novice ice freestyle. Most of the skaters were doing double axels and a few of them were doing triples. One girl was even doing a triple lutz. I was glad to be able to skate with these skaters. Being around these skaters just gave me confidence to do my best.
May 2007 - Houston, Texas
I went to Houston, Texas for a few days to train with Alexander Zaitsev! Alexander is a two time gold medal Olympic champion, and many time Russian, European, and World pairs skating champion.
When we got to Houston, we stayed at our friends house. I was really tired after the first night because of the time difference. The rink was really far away. It took us almost an hour to get there! My first lesson with Mr. Alexander was wonderful. I really felt that I was going to go places! I landed a double axel, double toe combination and it felt great! He taught me moves, spins, jumps, stroking, posture, and choreography. I really felt wonderful just being around Alexander. He gave me so much motivation and confidence that I felt like a champion. This is definitely one of the better trips that I had. I was so sad when I had to go back to Phoenix, but I will always have good memories of this exciting trip!
I also met and managed to get a few photos with Katy Taylor during my trip.
April 2007 - Fiesta Skate, Peoria Az.
I had a great competition at Fiesta Skate this year. Before the competition, McKenzie Pederson sent me a really nice email stating that she would be competing against me. I was real happy to receive the email. When I went skating at my regular rink Thursday morning, I met McKenzie for the first time at the 8:30 am freestyle. We instantly got along. My mom and her mom talked together too!
My family and I left for my artistic light competition at 3:45 PM. I skated at 5:45 PM. It was a really good skate. I skated to the song Mombo number five!!! I really like that song! I dressed like a boy and my wig and hat almost fell during my final spin sequence. I really was initially supposed to skate in the intermediate ladies light level. Since there were not enough entries at that level, I was entered to compete at the novice level instead! When the groupings were posted, my Mom told me that I was going to be competing at the Novice/Junior/Senior level. I got second place in that event! I got such a cute Panda from my brother after my program was over! The girl who came first was a Senior girl skating out of Anchorage, Alaska.
On Friday it was my short program. I came in 10th out of 18, and I was still happy! My coach Mrs. Tammy and my whole family were proud of me. After my fall in the short program, I got up and landed a really good double lutz, double toe combination!
Then came Saturday and the ladies long program! I skated really well in that event. My friend Sarah Kidd
specifically came to watch me in all three events. That was really nice of her and her Mom! Sarah and I were waiting for the results of the long program and all of a sudden I started to scream and run to my Mom and to my Dad and Sarah's Mom! I held up three of my fingers! Overall, I got a third in the intermediate competition! My coach told me that I placed first in the long program! I was just so excited! My Dad was the most excited. He pulled my brother Pawel from one of the video games he was playing and about to win so that they could both congratulate me. My coach lifted me up in the air and was so excited for me! My other coach Ms. Juliana especially stayed to watch me for the long program even though she was really busy! I had a great competition. McKenzie Pederson placed second overall. It was great standing beside her on the podium. Thanks to all my friends for supporting me.
P.S. Surya Bonaly emailed me congratulations.
Nov. 2006 - Las Vegas, Nevada.
In Las Vegas I had lots of fun with Surya Bonaly and her mom! It was a great feeling to be with a super ice skater. I was amazed just being around Surya. Surya is so nice and her mom Susan is too!
When I was doing my intermediate ladies short program, I really felt like a champion because a champion was watching me! I tried the best I could and I came in third place out of ten! That was my first competition in intermediate! I felt great! I wanted to compete in the intermediate long program too, but I didn't have a long program yet! This program will be coming soon.
In my interpretive routine, I had a great time because I could make up whatever I wanted in the program! I got second in that event. I practice the interpretive event by just dancing to any music I hear on the ice.
I really enjoy this event because you are forced to improvise all the time.
In my light program, I was a really cool guy in a wig. I had a black and yellow suit. I just skated out there and had fun. I got another second in that event.
